Climbing

We carry both dynamic and static climbing ropes from New England Ropes (Teufelberger) and Static rope from Samson ropes.

Do you need Dyanmic or static ropes?  Static ropes are used when you do not want your rope to stretch. Uses for static rope include:  Rescue, Rapelling, and when you are ascending, lowering or pulling a load up with a rope.  Static ropes should not be used for climbing.  Static ropes are not tested or certified for climbing loads.  Climbing ropes are used for climbing.  Dynamic ropes are designed to stretch with weight.  By stretching, they reduce the force of a fall.
