Description

Rope by the foot is listed as 1ft.  This rope will come in a continuous length.  For example, if you ordered 10 feet of rope, you will be shipped 10 continuous feet of rope and not 10, 1ft. pieces.  

Diameter:  5/16"

Approx Tensile Strength:  2,800 lbs.

This is a rope which holds it's form.  A larger diameter rope than most halter cords.  Great for everyday use.

Rope Construction: MFP (Multifilament Polypropylene) Cover/Parallel Filler 

When the core of the rope consists of one or more un-braided fibers running parallel to a braided “cover” the rope can be called a braided cover parallel core rope or cord. Parallel ropes are considered "non-spliceable."

Rope Fibers:  MFP

MFP is often used due to its price point. MFP has good strength, low stretch, and fair resistance to sunlight. It comes in numerous colors and is lighter in weight than polyester or nylon.

    This is the best halter rope I have found yet. It's not stiff and hard to work with. It's not soft and flimsy. It's the perfect firmness for making halters! I only wish there were more colors available.

    The 5/16 red MFP stiff halter cord is almost pink. I prefer the double braid polyester that I can no longer get unless I buy a 600 ft spool. While the MFP is decent rope, the polyester Yacht braid is unbeatable and sadly I can no longer get the good colors.

    Just what I wanted

    This is the first time I am attempting to make my own halter. I like the firmness of this cord. It's easy to work with. On the website, the purple color didn't look really purple but I ordered it anyway. The actual cord is a very nice bright purple, just what I wanted.
