Looking for ways to give back this Christmas?
Step One: Shop Local!!!
Why? Because half of small businesses could be closed in the next four months. It’s the people that own these businesses here and in your community that are the backbone of what we’ve always known.
This holiday season we’re asking you to consider shopping at your local mom and pop shops, your favorite local coffee joint, and boutiques - because together we have the power to make a difference.

LUCKY VINTAGE - Boutique Home Decor + Gift Shop
Lucky Vintage is a must see! Not only do they offer a variety of vintage items, they’re also notorious for the cutest place to take holiday photos with their famous vintage truck filled with greenery.
ATTICUS - Coffee & Trinkets
Old-school brick and mortar shop that offers a variety of trinkets, espresso drinks, drip coffee, loose-leaf teas, cookies and pastries from Cake Bakery, and Boots Bakery. The perfect place to visit on a pretty day with Boo Radley’s (their sister store) right next door and the Skate Ribbon just down the street!
FERN PLANT SHOP
Fern is the Inland Northwest’s finest plant shop company. Find yourself enchanted by their variety of living house plants, modern pots and botanically inspired goods for the home.
They hand select every plant in their boutique plant shops to ensure you receive the highest quality and largest variety of indoor plants. They also offer online purchases, but if you stop by you can grab a coffee from Ladder Coffee!

Located in Paint My Hair, this little shop is a hidden gem! Offering a variety of home decor items, cute script quote signs, and more!

AUNTIE’S BOOKSTORE
Auntie's Bookstore opened in 1978 in the Spokane Flour Mill under the name of "The Book and Game Company" and has been selling books ever since. Auntie's moved to its current location in the Liberty Building in 1994 located on the corner of Washington and Main. The store carries both new and used books, cards, tshirts, Spokane specialty items and other gifts to bring home for yourself or your favorite bibliophile. They also have a fun holiday gift guide! SHOP SMALL SPOKANE WEEKLONG EVENT:
The weeklong event starts Saturday, November 28, through Saturday, December 5.
Event Participation Details:
Shop at one or more small businesses, either in person or online, in any of these four communities: Cheney, Deer Park, Medical Lake, Millwood.
Go online and write a review on Facebook or Google about your shopping experience.
Stop by one of the participating libraries—Argonne (Millwood), Cheney, Deer Park, Medical Lake—to get a Shop Small prize using curbside pickup, while supplies last.
PLAY SMALL BUSINESS BINGO DOWNTOWN SPOKANE:
An easy and fun way to tour downtown and earn a chance to win cash! Presented by Wheatland Bank.
Event Participation Details:
Pick-up a Bingo Card at Wheatland Bank in Downtown Spokane or print online.
Visit the businesses listed in your Bingo Card, collect an official stamp or signature from someone who works there.
When you have collected five stamps/signatures in a row, column, or diagonal, return your Bingo Card to Wheatland Bank in Downtown Spokane, in person or in the drop box.
Your Bingo Card will be automatically entered into the weekly $500 sweepstakes drawing held on November 30, December 7, December 14 and December 21.
