Rope Construction: Double Braid Polyester

A double braid rope refers to a braided rope cover over a braided rope core. Basically, it is a rope over another rope. This rope is flexible and easy to handle. This rope is spliceable. Double braid rope is often called yacht braid and can be made with combinations of fibers or the same fibers.

Rope Fibers:  Polyester over Polyester

Due to its strength, low stretch, excellent sunlight resistance, and excellent abrasion resistance properties, polyester is a preferred fiber for many natural horse trainers.

    Excellent Sailboat Running Rigging

    I used this 5/16” line to replace the wire halyards on my 23ft sailboat. The line has a great feel, is extremely strong and has little to no stretch which was what I needed for my application(changing wire to rope). I would highly recommend this line for low stretch sailboat applications and will use CBKNOT for all my sailboat rope needs.
