Rope Construction: Double Braid Nylon

A double braid rope refers to a braided rope cover over a braided rope core. Basically, it is a rope over another rope. This rope is flexible and easy to handle. This rope is spliceable. Double braid rope is often called yacht braid and can be made with combinations of fibers or the same fibers.

**This rope is a soft standard premium double braid

Rope Fibers:  Nylon over Nylon

 Nylon is a great fiber often used in reins and leads. Nylon is not recommended for halters due to shrinkage over time. It has excellent strength and good sunlight resistance. It is not as abrasion resistant

as polyester.

    I used 5/8 double braid nylon to create a "Y" tow harness for our ski boat. I tow our 20' ski boat on full plane (18kts-20kts) behind our 43 foot aft cabin cruiser. This line and the people that work for this company are first rate and I recommend them to anyone
