Rope Construction: Double Braid Polyester
A double braid rope refers to a braided rope cover over a braided rope core. Basically, it is a rope over another rope. These ropes are often flexible and easy to handle. Most double braid ropes are spliceable. Double braid rope is often called yacht braid and can be made with combinations of fibers or the same fibers. To get a stiffer or firmer double braid rope, the cover can be braided tighter which increases its “hardness.”

Great rope for lead ropes and lounge lines
I got some ground training DVDs produced by a very famous trainer and he suggested I purchase a lounge line and halter from him for $89. I looked around for some quality rope and I found this 1/2" double braid rope and I watched the YouTube video from CB Knot Company to learn how to make an eye splice. I purchased the rope and made my own for about $14..Then I bought some 1/4" rope and once again referred to YouTube and I have been making halters for my friends. The trick is to buy good rope. And this rope is very good.

Best of the best.
This cordage is just like the stuff used by the "big name" trainers. However, one can make halters at a mere fraction of the cost of buying from those big shot trainers. This rope "behaves" wonderfully while tying thus cutting down tying time. I can usually tie 4 halters per hour with the usual rope. I can get 5 an hour with this cordage.

Good price, quick shipper-great for small boats
double braid polyester (AKA Yacht Braid) is a staple rope (line) for small boats. Low stretch, good hand and supple. This supplier manages to provide it at very low prices compared to folks who sell to sailors--for some reason, everything is more expensive for sailing applications. This rope is not easily spliced, but it can be done.
