Rope by the foot is listed as 1ft.  This rope will come in a continuous length.  For example, if you ordered 10 feet of rope, you will be shipped 10 continuous feet of rope and not 10, 1ft. pieces.  

Diameter:  1/4"

 One of the more popular diameters used by many natural horse trainers is 1/4 inch.  Stiff Rope which holds it's shape and form.

Rope Construction: Polyester Cover/Parallel Polyester core

When the core of the rope consists of one or more un-braided fibers running parallel to a braided “cover” the rope can be called a braided cover parallel core rope or cord. Halter cord uses this construction. Fibers used in the core of this rope are premium polyester fibers. Parallel core ropes are not considered “splicable.” Previously called 8TF.

Due to its strength, low stretch, excellent sunlight resistance, and excellent abrasion resistance properties, polyester is a preferred fiber for many natural horse trainers.

    This is the best rope for halters!

    The first time I ordered this rope I was really surprised by how stiff it was. I used it on a qh mare I had and she was very responsive to the halter. Though the turquoise isn't the exact colour that you get, it's more green. I've ordered this rope more than once, and will keep ordering, LOVE THIS ROPE!

    I am using this line for a furler haylard. The stiff jacket prevents the cover from wearing in the cam cleat. This is the second year without signs of wear. The softer jacket lines quickly wore in the cleat.

    Cord is very stiff. Would make a super halter if I could get the knots tight, especially the fiador. Used a heat gun and that helped some. Also had another set of hands to pull on it. I am missing something here.

    This rope is stiff! It would make a great halter if you could only pull the knots tight. This was my first try at tying a halter and I have given up on this rope. Maybe I will try again with the firm rope.

    I purchased this product several years ago to make my own halters. After seeing the quality of my halter, several of my friends at the stable where I ride had to have one. It holds it shape very well. I am very pleased with this cord and so are my friends that I made halters for.
