Rope by the foot is listed as 1ft.  This rope will come in a continuous length.  For example, if you ordered 10 feet of rope, you will be shipped 10 continuous feet of rope and not 10, 1ft. pieces.  

Diameter:  1/4"

 One of the more popular diameters used by many natural horse trainers is 1/4 inch.  Stiff Rope which holds it's shape and form.

Rope Construction: Polyester Cover/Parallel Polyester core

When the core of the rope consists of one or more un-braided fibers running parallel to a braided “cover” the rope can be called a braided cover parallel core rope or cord. Halter cord uses this construction. Fibers used in the core of this rope are premium polyester fibers. Parallel core ropes are not considered “splicable.” Previously called 8TF.

Due to its strength, low stretch, excellent sunlight resistance, and excellent abrasion resistance properties, polyester is a preferred fiber for many natural horse trainers.

    Couldn’t pull knots tight

    This rope is stiff! It would make a great halter if you could only pull the knots tight. This was my first try at tying a halter and I have given up on this rope. Maybe I will try again with the firm rope.

    Excellent Stiff Halter Cord

    I purchased this product several years ago to make my own halters. After seeing the quality of my halter, several of my friends at the stable where I ride had to have one. It holds it shape very well. I am very pleased with this cord and so are my friends that I made halters for.

    Great Halter Rope!

    I personally love this rope. It has a great feel to it. It is stiff, but almost too stiff for me. It holds its shape in a halter nicely but it is hard to tie knots tightly. I did however like the slick, shiny color of the black. It gets a 4/5 stars just because of how hard the rope was to tie knots in.

    If you are looking for a rope product that looks and feels like the pricey "name brand" trainer products, this is it. Makes a great 4 knot rope halter. And the rainbow color is just too fun!

    Great color, but too stiff

    I bought the rope off of a suggestion from a different site. Was making 5 rope halters. This rope is extremely stiff. I did try soaking one 20 foot piece in vinegar and hot water, then put it in the dryer. This helped a little. Will buy a different kind from y'all next time.
